So . . . The RT Booklovers Convention is right around the corner. Unfortunately for me, this year I will not be able to make it this year. Instead of having a bookiedeeds blast in Dallas -- I will be stuck in EMT training and working. Yay! -_-

For those who do not know what the RT Booklovers Convention is, I provided some info below:

2015 will be the 32nd Annual RT Booklovers Convention anniversary celebration in Dallas, May 12 - 17, at the Hyatt Regency Dallas Hotel. 

When you pick up your badge at the hotel, only full-convention attendees will receive a tote bag filled with goodies (books, promo items etc.) and a voucher for a trip through our ”Goody Room“ where you can select a generous number of books from stacks of more than 200 titles."

Now that you are caught up, my absolute favorite parts of the convention -- the main reasons why I go -- are the Gaint Book Fair and Teen Day. Hmm, what are they you may ask. Well . . .

 Giant Book Fair:

The Giant Book Fair will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015.

This year, in addition to YA Alley and New Adult Lane, we have added Inspirational Fiction Way where you can easily find all of the authors who write in this genre.

Also new this year we will be cross referencing authors by genre in the book fair layout booklet that is given out to everyone who attends the book fair so that you will be able to find new authors in the genres you love.

Teen Day:

The Teen Day excitement begins at 11am on Saturday, May 16 at the Giant Book Fair where you'll meet 100 Young Adult authors who will signing in YA Alley including: Meg Cabot, Tamora Pierce, Richelle Mead, Scott Westerfeld, Melissa de la Cruz, Margaret Sthol and Kami Garica, Kiera Cass, Allison Noel, Lauren Oliver, Becca Fitzpatrick and Jennifer L. Armentrout to name a few. It's also where you can purchase autographed copies of their latest books so be sure to bring an extra bag (or suitcase!).
