Prepping for BEA 2015!

Bookies! It is that time of year again! My favorite time of year. Yes, Book Expo America is next week and I am practically bursting withe excitement.

Can I get a "B-E-A!" ?

To add the frosting to the cake, this year BEA is practically 5 days long! 3 days for the regular BEA fair and 2 days for Book Con. Lucky me, since I am a book blogger, I get to go to Book Con for free! I am so stoked.

Backstory:

For those of you new Bookies on the block, BEA stand for Book Expo America. It is an annual #1 book and author event (basically one big book feast!), hosted at Jacob Javitz Center in my hometown, New York City -- however, some locos decided to host BEA 2016 in Chicago, NO! Moving on, BEA is a place where bibliophiles and bookiedeeds warriors can congregate and bask in their mutual love for the written word. Courtesy of BEA, attendees receive professional name tags that allow us permittance onto the show floor, several opportunities to meet our beloved authors and books! Hundreds of books! Books we get to have for, get this, FREE!

Do you understand now? Why why every thought is consumed about BEA?

BEA 2015 will be my fifth go! And I still can't believe it. Feels like only yesterday I was an amateur at my first BEA. With that said, check out my post from my previous years of attendance:
BEA 2011Day 1Day 2 & Day 3
Here's the checklist I use in preparation for BEA every year:
- Registration
- Strategy of assault (ex. color-coded schedule)
- Luggage
- Money for luggage check-in
- Oversized totes (just 1 or 2 since you'll probably snag some at BEA)
- Comfortable shoes
- Phone
- Packed lunch
- Water
- Book blogger business cards
- Portable phone charger
